It is a very effective species as a <a href=\"https:\/\/ruralcat.gencat.cat\/documents\/20181\/4633934\/010_CREAF_Osmia_2017_2019\/1451b44c-4887-468a-a324-66a0437acbb3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pollinator of fruit trees<\/a> and all kinds of <strong>wild flowers.<\/strong> Osmia, conventionally called <strong>spring bees<\/strong> , are solitary insects that do not sting, from the worker family, they do not make hives or colonies, but build <strong>their nests<\/strong> usually in <strong>small reeds<\/strong> that they prepare for the well-being of their young until that cover them with mud. They only <strong>fly during the spring season<\/strong> , which coincides with the pollination time of the fruit trees. Its pollinating effectiveness has made it the protagonist of a project that promotes <strong>improving the biodiversity of plants and insects<\/strong> in our environment. The <a href=\"https:\/\/advecologica.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Plant Protection Association of the Ponent counties<\/a> has made available to those who want to collaborate with the initiative, <strong>boxes with bee cocoons<\/strong> .
